The Circles of Color are mutually supportive grassroots communities for resource sharing, networking, personal support, addressing issues of racism, encouraging leadership development among our POC church communities, and connecting people of color with what they need emotionally and spiritually to be who God is calling them to be.
Currently the Circles include the Indigenous/First Nations Circle, the Black/African-American Circle, the Asian American Circle, the Circulo Latino y Mestizo, and the Clergy of Color Circle. We meet as a Full Circle monthly as well. Our white allies have also created an Allies Circle and are in the process of carefully developing themselves as a community to work in authentic partnership with People of Color.
At this time, the easiest way to help connect POCs and perspective allies to a Circle is to have them email the Rev. Carla Robinson, the Canon for Multicultural Ministries and Community Transformation, or contact the specific leaders in the list below:
